My Truth

I have found
A new truth
More times than the days
I have seen pass
I have taught myself
And fought myself
And with every battle
I have avoided
The chains of mediocrity
In the darkest corners
Or on the highest peak
There has been no cavity
Large or small enough
To trap me
And therefore
I keep rising
Or keep falling
As my choices
Belong only to me
